常把人马座、太阳、月光、山水虫草等类型画在布幔上，

于是又取出染缸中的完成颜料。

The Bouyei people he a great esteem for nature,

Wax knives and beeswax are considered as pen and ink for them,

They often paint many natural elements on the fabrics, like the sun, the moon, stars, flowers, birds, fishes and insects.

Then put clothes into the dye vats for dyeing.

染料是用板蓝根的叶子和一些寄生植物配置而成。

The dyes are confected by the lees of radix isatidis and some other plants.

蜡染用它别致又独特的模式，

记录了白族世世代代的人文和宗教，

使白族人文在这些写实的图案和线条中的传承了下来。

Batik records the culture and beliefs of the Bouyei people from generation to generation simply and uniquely,
